Metamora Township High School proudly presents their Spring Musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, to be performed in the Kenneth H. Maurer Auditorium from March 16-19, 2023, with performances starting at 7 PM on the 16-18, and 2 PM on 19th. Tickets are on sale now and are available through the online MTHS Box Office. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens 65 & older, $5 for students 8th grade & younger, and all MTHS Students with a school ID are free. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Enchanted Edition) is based upon ABC’s 1997 remake of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, starring Whitney Houston and Brandy. Cinderella, a young and kind woman, is forced into servitude after her father dies and dreams of a better life. The show includes some of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible,” “Ten Minutes Ago,” “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful?,” and more. With dazzling special effects, beautiful costumes, and more, the production is perfect for the entire family. Students in honors English II finished their unit on author's style and purpose by analyzing two amazing pieces of nonfiction, Laura Hillenbrand's book Unbroken and Mamie Till-Mobley's book Death of Innocents. Students immersed themselves in both pieces, analyzing each author's style, tone, and lens.

The MTHS preschool has openings for their ten-week laboratory preschool, which will run February 21, 2023 through May 5, 2023. The preschool laboratory is run through Metamora Township High School on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:20-9:45 a.m. with a cost of $20.00. Every Tuesday will have an altered schedule running 8:20-9:35. The MTHS high school students teach the program under the supervision of Mrs. Galpin.
