The MTHS Math Department along with student council hosted their annual food drive at the end of October. Students collected 4590 items total this year. A special thank you goes out to the following students for donating over 30 cans!

Congratulations to Victoria Hall, Kaitlyn Ramage, Mia Querciagrossa, and Ella Stivers, who signed their national letters of intent today to further their academic and athletic careers.
Victoria signed to play volleyball at the University of the Incarnate Word located in San Antonio, Texas. Kaitlyn signed to play softball at Northern Illinois University located in Dekalb, Illinois. Mia signed to play volleyball at Trinity Christian College, located in Palos Heights, Illinois. Ella signed to play volleyball at Aurora University, located in Aurora, Illinois.

Congratulations to the MTHS Lady Running Red for advancing to the IHSA State Finals. The team was led by outstanding performances yesterday by Audrey Hodgen, Alayna Rauch, Audrey Heil, Lily Sturgell, Kassidy Mullins, Callie Sturgell, and Adi Sparry.
Trae Helwig and Carson Cowling advanced as individuals to the IHSA State Finals on the boy's side.
MTHS is proud to be hosting a first round playoff game tomorrow at 2:00 PM on Malone. Gates open at 12:30 PM. Tickets are $5 and per IHSA guidelines no passes can be used. Bring your cowbells and be ready to cheer on the Redbirds to victory!

There is a house on a hill whose walls hold a dark, dark secret. On Halloween weekend, three young people will travel to Hill House believing that they are to be part of a study to cure them of their insomnia. Little do they know, the ghost of the former owner, Hugh Crane, and the other spirits who dwell in the house have a very different idea.
The Haunting of Hill House opens Friday, October 28 (7 pm), Saturday, Oct 29 (7 pm) and Sunday Oct 30 (2 pm) in the Kenneth Maurer Performing Arts Center. Tickets are on sale now by visiting the MTHS box office, or by calling 309.367.4151 EXT 574 or by emailing kherrick@mths.us.

MTHS Educators Rising members attended the Future Teacher Conference at Illinois State University with over 1,200 future teachers from around the state.
Art Club members came in early Thursday morning to build ceramic mugs to get through the coming winter. We can’t wait to fire and glaze them!
