Congratulations to MTHS Diver Seth Nowak for winning the Pekin Diving Sectional. Seth will compete next weekend at the IHSA Diving State Finals. Coach Shane Morrison was also named the Pekin Sectional Dive Coach Of The Year!

Honors Chemistry I students completed the "gold penny" lab! Students were challenged to turn an old, copper penny to "gold" using their lab skills!
Honors Spanish II students did "Speed Matching" searching for the perfect Bucket List Buddy while using the present perfect form in Spanish! So much fun speaking and interacting in Spanish!

Characters from Metamora Township High School's production of Cinderella will be at the event in costume and ready to greet young princesses and princes who attend.
The afternoon will include story time with Cinderella, activities with our cast, songs, and more! There will also be time for guests to take photos and get autographs from our characters.
All attendees will receive special Cinderella prizes and treats to take home.
Costumes are encouraged for our young guests who will attend!

It's Juego jueves! Spanish 2 got competitive using SER vs. ESTAR conversationally with "Cacto conversaciones" and by playing "Roca, papel, tijeras" to review for their quiz tomorrow.

The MTHS Academic Challenge team competed today in Regionals. These students competitively test in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, English, Engineering Graphics, Mathematics, and Physics and match up against schools all across the state.
Metamora Township High School proudly presents their Spring Musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, to be performed in the Kenneth H. Maurer Auditorium from March 16-19, 2023, with performances starting at 7 PM on the 16-18, and 2 PM on 19th. Tickets are on sale now and are available through the online MTHS Box Office. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens 65 & older, $5 for students 8th grade & younger, and all MTHS Students with a school ID are free.
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Enchanted Edition) is based upon ABC’s 1997 remake of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, starring Whitney Houston and Brandy. Cinderella, a young and kind woman, is forced into servitude after her father dies and dreams of a better life. The show includes some of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible,” “Ten Minutes Ago,” “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful?,” and more. With dazzling special effects, beautiful costumes, and more, the production is perfect for the entire family.

Congratulations to Alyssa Bundren and Sydney Trentman for continuing their academic and athletic career next year. Alyssa will play softball at Eureka College. Sydney will play softball at Carleton College, located in Northfield, MN. Best of luck in the future.

The students loved hearing life from these amazing educators before they write their work, This is 15/16.
Spanish students practiced listening comprehension of command forms in Spanish II and IV Honors while participating in Zumba, Yoga, and Stretching!
