Due to inclement weather and dangerous windchills, there will be no school Tuesday, January 16th. A decision will be made tomorrow afternoon about all evening activities and practices.

Due to improving road conditions, MTHS will have afternoon and evening activities. A huge thank you to our custodial and grounds crew for clearing the lots and sidewalks to make our building accessible. Thank you to our village, county, and township employees for clearing the streets to allow us to travel safely.
Coaches and sponsors will be contacting players with information about optional afternoon practice times. Practices will be completed by 7:00 PM, and our building will be closed. LAN and D and D club are canceled for this evening.
We have adjusted our schedule this evening to miss the next wave of snow. The JV Boys Basketball game will now start at 4:00 PM, with the Varsity game to follow.
Snowball registration will now open at 6:30 PM. We ask that parents drop off their students at Snowball to avoid cars in our parking lot.
All cars should be removed from the student parking lot to allow for snow cleanup later this evening.
We appreciate your patience as we have navigated the weather today.

Freshmen through senior students in Honors Spanish classes set goals for second semester! Goals will be showcased throughout the classroom to motivate the achievement of their goals!

The German Club had a great time in Chicago! We visited the DANK (Chicago German-American Society) House, the Christkindlmarkt, and saw a performance of the Hip Hop Nutcracker! Despite the rain, everyone had a good time!





The Speech Team kicked off their season with great performances at Mahomet-Seymour over the weekend. Addison Armistead and Brianna Schroeder brought home awards for their Humorous Duet Acting and Informative Oration entries.






Final Exam Schedule. Reminders on attendance during assessment days:
-Student dismissal is at 2:25 PM on Monday, December 18, 2023, and Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
-Students needing bus transportation will wait in the commons until 3:15 PM to ride the bus home at their regularly scheduled time.
-Students who have a 1st-hour or 5th-hour study hall on Monday or Tuesday may arrive at 9:25 AM, provided they have their own transportation.
-Students who have a 4th-hour or 8th-hour study hall on Monday or Tuesday may leave at 11:55 AM, provided they have their own transportation. If students do not have their own transportation, they are required to remain in their scheduled classes.

Educators Rising learned about the wide array of opportunities in special education from today's guest speaker, WCSEA Administrator Mrs. Kristin Fehr.



Students in English II have been reading author Laura Hillenbrand's book Unbroken about war hero and Olympian Louis Zamperini. Today they discussed how Louie, Phil, and Mac fit in one life raft (6 feet by 2 feet) after their second raft was riddled with bullet holes.
