Th Environmental Club discussed upcycling as a way to lower our environmental footprint. Then senior Kate Shoff taught everyone how to sew up a hole and sew on a button. Amazing skills to continue using clothes and purchasing less items.

Thank you to The Illinois Prairie District Public Library and Mrs. Nelson for hosting author James McBride! He was exactly what the students hoped for...and so much more! It was a busy night at MTHS last night, and although many of our student-athletes couldn't make it, they also sent their love to McBride! Here are a few amazing quotes from the author himself:
-"My life is colored by my experiences."
-"Thoughts and reason, not the raised fist, changes lives."
-"What makes our culture so powerful is our creative impulses."
-"Apathy is a form of self-destruction."
THANK YOU, James McBride!
