MTHS is helping improve the holiday season for our local communities through the collection of hats, gloves, and coats. In addition, we would like to provide toys for local children. The MTHS Student Council is sponsoring a Holiday Drive the week of December 9th - December 13th. Four trees (one for each grade) will be displayed and used during the drive. The donations of hats, gloves, and coats will be used to decorate each grade's tree. Also, the donated presents will be displayed underneath the trees. Donations will be collected before school and during 5th hour lunch periods in the Student Commons.
What Our MTHS Students & Families Can Do: Bring in new hats/gloves/coats/toys with a focus for each grade on the following youth age group
9th grade = Toddlers & preschool
10th grade = K through 2nd
11th grade = 3rd through 5th
12th grade = 6th through 8th
The following organizations will receive donations: Spring Bay American Legion "No Tears for Christmas"; Woodford County Heart House "Tree of Hearts"; and Dream Center of Peoria.
Students who donate will be entered into a raffle and there will be multiple prizes and winners. Each item donated will earn 1 ticket into our drawing and winners will receive a gift card of their choice.
