Jarosz, Kelly
About Me
Kelly Jarosz was raised in Prospect Heights, Illinois attending John Hersey High School. Kelly was fortunate enough to play tuba at the Midwest Clinic and the Symphony Center in Chicago. Here, Kelly’s love of music and music education developed into what would become her profession. Kelly attended the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, earning a Bachelor of Science in Music Education in 2014. Since leaving school, Kelly has taught choir at Manual Academy in Peoria, Illinois, band at Peoria Notre Dame High School, and finally the instrumental music staff at MTHS in fall of 2019.
Kelly is an active musician in the Peoria area. She has played with the Peoria Brass Choir, Prairie Wind Ensemble, and several other smaller groups. Kelly has also worked as a vocal director for the Peoria Players Theater. Kelly lives in Peoria with her husband, Nick, who is also a teacher at MTHS. They enjoy movies, astronomy, bike rides, and caring for their dog, Shelby, and cat, Priscilla.
