About Me
This is my 15th year as a History and Civics/Comparative Studies teacher at MTHS. I graduated from here in 2003 and continued my education at I.C.C. and then graduated from Bradley University with a degree in History Secondary Education. Within a few years of teaching, I started and completed my Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. I also have a Teacher Leader Endorsement from ONU. I’ve been coaching football at MTHS since 2004 and coached baseball for 15 years, too. Some of my favorite topics in History are WW1 and the Progressive Era. For Civics and Geography, I enjoy discussing culture and current events, as well as law and the U.S. Constitution.
I am blessed to have two young boys at home. Hudson is a healthy and happy 5 year old and studying Kindergarten and Waylon is an on-the-go 3 year-old. We enjoy spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and taking family vacations. Go Birds!
