We have a beautiful day to honor a great graduating class. The 2024 MTHS graduation ceremony will be outside on Malone Field today. Gates will open at 2:45 PM for all guests; no tickets are required. Staff members will be available to help anyone who needs assistance at the ticket booths. Due to the heat this afternoon, we encourage all guests to dress comfortably for the weather.  If you are unable to sit outside today in the heat, we will also live-stream the ceremony in our auditorium for our out-of-town guests; they can watch by clicking below. Graduates need to arrive at the Toepke Gym by 2:30 PM. Members of the Class of 2024 should park in the back CTE parking lot and enter the building by the woodshop. Congratulations to Mrs. Tabitha Cooper, MTHS Teacher of the Year! Tabitha is an electric educator who always engages her students. We are so fortunate to have her at MTHS. The IHSA and Country Financial also recognized her for this month's Teacher Spotlight Feature!

Congratulations to Mr. Al Schrock, this year's MTHS Staff Member of the Year! Al always goes above and beyond at MTHS. Al has an extremely high work ethic and takes on his job with pride. We appreciate all that he does!

What a treat! MTHS painting students got to visit with MTHS Art Alum Nate Baranowski today as he is back in town working on his latest mural at the Illinois Prairie District Library. Thanks Nate for taking time to talk to some aspiring MTHS artists- we are super proud of you and all of your accomplishments!

A BIG shout-out to our seniors who helped with the Germantown Hills District 69 St. Jude Laps for Life event today! Our seniors spent their first of summer with the K-8 students, running the relay races, obstacle courses, the warp wall, and Kona Ice! Germantown Hills students raised $34,000 for St. Jude! #redbirdproud

MTHS students enjoyed this year's FFA Petting Zoo. Our students did a great job of being positive role models for our entire community. It was great to see our grade school districts take part in this fun day!

MTHS enjoyed celebrating the Culture Fair last week! Students did a great job of gaining knowledge of their countries. Everyone did a great job with all of the dancing, cooking, and music to immerse everyone in their country. Thank you to the Social Science department for hosting this great event.

Senior students enjoyed Senior Sunset! Thank you to the Bakery Bar, a newly opened bakery on the square in Metamora, for providing cake pop treats!

Congratulations to Lana Brooks, Clayton Cawley, Ethan Krei, and Nick Walker, who will continue their academic and athletic careers next year. Lana will play tennis at Rome City Institute in Rome City, Italy. Clayton will play baseball at Morton College in Cicero, Illinois; Ethan will play baseball at North Park University in Chicago, Illinois; and Nick will run track at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois.
